Hello,
This weekend I did not, alas and alak, have any major, life-changing adventures. Instead, I needed to tackle some long overdue clean-up projects around the house. Like they say, “…not much to write home about.”
I think most adventure stories are a little bit deceptive in the way they simply skip over the boring parts. They make it seem like there is action all the time, but I bet that Jason had to scrub the Argo’s deck from time to time, and we can be sure that Gulliver had to take some time off from his travels to darn his socks.
Also keep in mind that there are plenty of little adventures to be had in cleaning up, for example: the racial tension that spilled over to conflict between my white laundry and my red towels, the curious incident of the smell of death in my fridge, and the mysterious case of “Why is my toothbrush already wet?” Whoever said that housework is boring?
For your viewing please, I did get a picture of my office. Enjoy.
Perhaps one day my potrait will be hung on the wall along with the other Engineering giants or our past...
Then again… maybe not…
Cheers!
Will
